News: We have a group of parents hard at work writing funding applications for our new playground. We will hear if we have been successful in the coming month or so and will keep you posted. Watch this space! Look out for a new display showing the children's designs in the foyer next term. The aim is to create ' a sanctuary for the imagination' that also gives the children exercise and offers an inclusive space in which all our children can play.

WHAT YOU CAN DO THIS WEEK.... Do you work for a company with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme? Many companies have policies to support charities which have links to their employees. The Millfields PSA is a registered charity and your company may be able to help our efforts to raise funds towards the playground development. Some companies give small cash donations to charities their employees are involved with. Some companies offer ‘match-funding’ when employees raise money for a charity. One Millfields parent has secured £2,000 towards the playground fund from their company in this way. Please look at your company intranet to see if they can help, and encourage family members to do the same. For tips on approaching your company’s charity committee please feel free to contact Kate Westlake klwestlake@gmail.com
