Special Educational and additional needs

Millfields is a fully inclusive primary school and follows the inclusive policy of all Hackney schools.

We believe that every child can make progress and achieve and that it is our job to make sure that this happens. We ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all of our pupils.

At our schools we ensure that appropriate provision is made for pupils who belong to vulnerable groups and this includes ensuring that the needs of pupils with special educational needs are met.

At Millfields, we ensure that the needs of all pupils, children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, children who are more able or gifted, children who have English as an additional language, children who have difficulty managing their behaviour, and children with social and emotional needs have appropriate, effective and timely support, challenge and intervention, in order to meet their social, emotional and academic potential.

We believe that every child can make progress and achieve and that it is our job to make sure that this happens. We ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all of our pupils.

Millfields also has provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Condition.
