This secondary transfer admissions process is for children in Year 6 (born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015) who will start secondary school in September 2026. You should apply by 31 October 2025.

Secondary school transfer briefing

Open events at Hackney secondary schools are held in September and October. These are for families with children who will transfer to secondary school in September 2026, but anyone can attend.
