Millfields has been designated a Changemaker School by global social entrepreneur association Ashoka in recognition of its strong vision, innovative practice and teamwork.

As one of only ten Changemaker schools in the UK, Millfields will become part of a global network of educationalists that “prioritise the cultivation of empathy, teamwork, leadership, and change making in their students.”

Changemaker status was awarded to the school after a rigorous, selection process which concluded with a day of interviews with Ashoka panelists, who interviewed staff, and a year 6 student, from the school. The interview focused on several criteria including vision, innovation, influence and the school’s ‘change’ team.
